Brand marketers using video report that it outperforms other types of content marketing, according to a new research study conducted by video marketing platform VidYard on the effectiveness of video marketing. More than 70% of the B2B companies that use video in their marketing said it exceeds plain text and images at driving conversions, and many said the ROI from video is on the rise.

Ice-cold marketing goes red-hot


In a “best-in-class” competition for viral marketing, the most successful contender might just be the Ice Bucket Challenge that raises awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Uploaded on July 29, 2014, the video challenges people to drop a bucket of ice water over their head or donate $100 to charity. Those who accept the challenge are encouraged to pay the challenge forward to three people.
